Despite embarking on their first-ever continental campaign, Crystal Palace are adapting very quickly. Missing star players like striker Jean-Philippe Mateta and wing-back Daniel Muñoz, the Eagles left Dublin with a commanding result that virtually guarantees them a spot in the Conference League qualifying rounds.
A further three points in their next fixture against Finland's KuPS ought to be enough to secure straight entry to the last 16, particularly following a prior stumble against Strasbourg.
Squad Members Seize the Opportunity
This match provided a platform for several Palace's fringe talent to shine. Christantus Uche, making only his second beginning after arriving on loan from Getafe, opened the scoring with a well-taken goal. Forward Eddie Nketiah contributed a second, scoring for the second consecutive succession.

After the break, manager Oliver Glasner took the chance to rest key individuals like Kamada and Wharton. Replacement Romain Esse came close to scoring with his first touch, but saw his effort blocked.
Esse was desperately unlucky later on, seeing one shot crash off each posts before being gathered on the line. Uche then blazed a glaring chance, showing there is still room for improvement in his game.
A solitary concern for Palace was a second-half injury to Justin Devenny, who limped off. This paved the way for 17-year-old forward Benji Casey to make his first-team debut, capping an otherwise perfect evening for the visiting side.
